Privately Guided Paddling

Vermont Adventure Tours offers flat water and  white water kayaking as well as canoeing courses.  With our American Canoe Association accredited guides, we can easily offer trips from beginner to advanced levels.  So whether you're looking to learn the stern from the bow of the boat on a leisurely paddle, or you're looking to shred the gnar on some killer holes and drops, we've got the trips for you!

Flat Water Paddling

Central Vermont has many great areas to tour by canoe or kayak. Looking for a scenic paddle or a view from a different perspective? Kayaks and Canoes are prefect vehicles to spot wildlife or have an awesome family afternoon. We provide the transportation, the boats, life vest, paddles, and everything else to make your day as relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

We also teach basic flat-water canoe and kayak paddling skills such as paddling strokes, open water re-entry, packing boats, and much more!!

Swift & White Water Paddling

We run white water kayaking trips on the White River on class I-III water. We provide boats, spray skirts, paddles, PFDs, and helmets. Basic paddling skills are taught in a brief on-river class just prior to putting in. Students will learn paddling stokes, basic self-rescue, and basic river hydrology. Throughout the trip additional skills can be learned such as more advanced stokes and information about river features. The length and specific section of the river that we paddle is determined by the participants experience and the river conditions.
